The GSA is the elected representative government for graduate and professional students at UCSB. We work to ensure that graduate student concerns are addressed in on- and off-campus policy decisions. We also provide graduate students with information concerning decisions that are relevant to graduate student life and organize graduate social events.

Feel free to drop by the GSA Offices and Graduate Lounge to speak to us in person. We are located in the University Center Room 2502 (above the Multicultural Center) and are open during the normal fall, winter and spring quarters from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 on Friday.

Pre-Candidacy travel grants are available on a first come first serve basis. Check the student resources link for the application.

The GSA has set up a housing list for housing and rental information exchange among graduate and professional students.

Become a Committee Representative

The GSA needs graduate student representatives to work with committees on important issues that affect graduate students, such as new graduate student housing, health insurance, and Teaching Assistant awards. Whatever your interests are, there is sure to be a committee that fits them! Look for one here!
