GSA Lounge

The Graduate Student Association Lounge is open to any and all graduate students, and all campus-registered student groups or organizations.  Amenities include a balcony, couches, tables and chairs, and a kitchen.  It’s a great space to work, relax, or visit with fellow graduate students!

 

GSA Lounge Hours of Operation

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am-5pm;
  • Wednesday 8:15am-5pm (join us for Bagel Hour 8:15-11:15am);
  • Friday 10am-2pm.

Free coffee is provided for graduate students every weekday during the academic year.

The GSA is located on the Second Floor of the Multicultural Center

We strive to provide the GSA Lounge with the atmosphere that will best fit the needs of all grad students. Please follow this link to share your suggestions and ideas with us.

Rental Availability

The GSA Lounge is available for rent at any time before or after its normal Hours of Operation (see above), except not after 10pm or before 8am.  

Graduate student groups of 10 persons or less may meet in the GSA Lounge during its normal Hours of Operationwithout a reservation, but the lounge must still remain open for use by all graduate students during such meeting.  

On a trial basis, we are now permitting evening rentals on Tuesday nights, subject to certain conditions.

Note:  GSA has a standing reservation on the first Tuesday of each month from 5pm to 9pm for its monthly Assembly Meeting, beginning at 6pm (all graduate students welcome to attend).

Rental Fees

There is no fee to rent the lounge.

Reservation Request Info

GSA Lounge reservation requests must be made at least one business day in advance.  Requests are accepted in person or by email.  Lounge use is allocated on a first come, first serve basis, with priority being given to graduate students, and graduate student groups and organizations.  You may make a lounge request in person with a GSA Lounge staff person during the GSA Lounge Hours of Operation, or you may email gsaloungereservations@gmail.com with a copy and paste of the following 8 items below, complete with your information:

  1. Your first and last name
  2. Status as Undergrad or Graduate Student
  3. Organization name
  4. OSL account #
  5. Day requested
  6. Time of day requested (beginning and end time)
  7. # of guests expected
  8. Description of event
